It's only Week 1.
And....I already feel like I've been working forever, but it's only the beginning. I already had my first homework assignment due for Quantum Mechanics on Monday, and three more assignments for that same class. For Inorganic Chemistry, I'm frantically working on problems and reading. Luckily for my Honors Collegium course on Nanotechnology and Modern Applications, I can loosen up a bit and...blog. Yes, BLOG! So far, I am in love with that class, as the class is not only pretty informal but the material is interesting, the professor knowledgeable, and the coursework perfect for my intense schedule. My schedule already looks pretty packed with not only classes, but multiple research/APHC meetings, seminars, lab work, and office hours. Oh dear.... Just now, I was so focused on cutting opening up my inorganic textbook package that I didn't even notice that a 5.0 magnitude earthquake happened. Not until I walked down the hallway to throw away my package wrappings that my RA and my neighbors ask me if I had felt the tremblor. Very confused, I thought it was a joke, but upon hopping online to check the earthquakes within the past hour, there indeed was one...near San Bernardino. Wooow...that tells you how neglectful I am of all the things happening around me. Not good, I tell you! This needs to change! Speaking of change, Obama has been making an admirable effort to change the direction the nation has been going the past 8 years. He really has, and I applaud him for it, but since actions speak louder than words, we'll have to see whether he can fulfill his promises. Check out this site to vote on issues that you want Obama to focus on once he's inaugurated on the 20th of this month! http://www.change.org/ideas *END* :: +Memory :: Tell a Friend :: Reply |
